The Prose Edda
Part I - Prologue
The Prose Edda is collection of Norse myths retold in prose by 13th century Christian author Snorri Sturluson. The stories are based off of the verse of The Poetic Edda.
The first book of the Prose Edda, the Prologue, claims that the original Norse gods were actually Trojans whom the people of the north took for gods because of their superior technology and developed culture. In this version, gods like Thor are Trojan princes who fled Ilium after the fall of Troy.
